What to prepare for an auto insurance quote
A useful quote starts with a clear picture of your car and how you use it. Prepare these notes before calling Starco or starting an online request.
Start with the vehicle
Write down the year, make, model and VIN if available. Note where the car is usually parked, whether it is financed or leased, and whether you use it for commuting, deliveries or other work. Tell the agent about each use.
List the drivers and changes
Prepare the names of the people who drive the car and note changes since your last policy, such as a new driver or a different commute. Ask the office which documents it needs and how to provide them securely.
Keep your current policy nearby
The declarations page summarizes existing coverage. Use it to ask whether a new quote changes your limits, deductibles or listed vehicles, instead of comparing only the monthly payment.
Finish with a short question list
Ask what is included, what is excluded, when coverage could start and what must happen before it becomes active. An online request begins a conversation; it does not itself confirm insurance.
